What Are You Expecting? – Remixed!

I’ve been playing around with some different editing software over the past couple of weeks and also checking out some new electronic/dance music artists. Here’s the result:
What Are You Expecting (Masterpiece Remix ft. Robbie Parker)
The background track is called “Expressing Emotions” from Masterpiece and you can find it on iTunes, Zune, and other e-music [...]

Sight seeing at the crash site

I had a request for more McDonald’s pictures, so here are a couple of panoramas, followed by some bonus footage from around Roswell, NM.
You can click any of these for a larger version.

Cielo Grande

Cielo Grande Park is built on the site of an abandoned airport.
The old control tower is still there, though it’s in pretty bad shape.

Behind the control tower is this skate park.

New Mexico must be much less litigious than Virginia. I can’t imagine a skate park in Fairfax County with no access control and no helmet [...]

Best run I’ve had in a long time

And it was in Roswell, NM. Actually, I think I’m starting to change my opinion of the place a little. I’ve found some little spots of green and wildlife. But I still miss my mountains, and the beach, and my Rachel – not necessarily in that order.

Snow Pictures

It’s a beautiful day in the snow covered Shenandoah valley. We got something like 20 inches of snow, though it’s hard to tell now. Yesterday it snowed a little but the wind blew a lot. Some places it’s 10 inches deep, and some places it’s five feet. Here are a few snaps of the damage.

OK, OK Fastest 3G Network, Whatever….

Verizon’s Data Coverage – 3G is in dark green

AT&T’s data Coverage. 3G is in dark blue.
Note: no 3G where I live, nor [...]

It went like this

“What’s the difference between the Boardwalk Buger and the Boardwalk-Fry Burger?”
“The Boardwalk-Fry Burger has fries on the burger.”
“That’s crazy.”
“I know.”
With the exception of that bit of lunacy, if you’ve ever been to Five Guys, you’ll know what’s going on at Boardwalk Fresh Burger and Fries right down to the bucket of salted peanuts. The exceptions [...]

Moving — Life is Good

CharmingGeek.net has been quiet lately. I’ve been busy and my post-by-email has been on the fritz, so I’ve just remained silent. I think it’s time for an update now, though as there have been some significant changes.
First, as of two days ago, I’m no longer living in Reston or the DC area. I’m now living [...]
